#430143 Mate. Argentinean utensil for drinking Yerba Mate tea. By Argentinean law Mate is declared a “National Infusion”. Calabash gourd is framed in .800 silver with several gold applications in design. Bombilla Tea Straw is .800 silver with 18K gold mouthpiece and two bands, Excellent condition. It is hard to determine the weight of pure silver and gold, but the total weight is 121 gram. Mate is 90 mm high and 65 mm in diameter and bambilla is 210 mm long.

#430144 Another Mate. Instead of traditional calabash gourd this mate is done in round flask shape vessel .800 silver with cold applications in design and permanently attached stand. Bambilla (drinking straw) is .800 silver with 18K gold mouthpiece. Excellent condition. It is hard to determine the weight of each metal, but the total weight is 134 gram. #430156 1803 heavy sterling silver party bowl by Philip Rundell, one of the more important English silversmiths of late Georgian time. It has a Rampant Horse, the symbol of Kent and its logo INVICTA (undefeated). From 1799 until 1820 Kent was part of Royal Dukedom of Kent and ruled by King George III forth son Prince Edward Augustus, father of future Queen Victoria. Considering that Philip Rundell’s firm was official “Jewelers and Goldsmiths to the King” and they executed many orders from British Royal Family, could this vessel be made for the Price Edward? Quite possible. Magnificent large and heavy 4-light Sabbath candle holder by very well known Polish Jewish silversmith Antoni Riedel (1878-1910), well know for making premium silver items of Jewish religious use. The lamp consists of two parts the base which is clearly marked with A. RIEDEL and Warsaw city mark on one lobe and O.C / 1887 84 Russian Eagle on the other lobe. The base had been reinforced from inside with a piece of sterling silver to give better stability to the lamp. The top has A. RIEDEL, Russian Eagle and Warsaw City mark on lower part.
